I’ve worked as head of product innovation and research for BHIVE, a digital innovation lab (Bloomberg). Before that: design research and strategy (OPNBX), urban research (MIT), digital media (Google, Microsoft) and community journalism (Seattle Magazine, The Seattle Times, The Oregonian, Reuters and The Cambodia Daily).

From journalism to urban technology — my work focuses on giving communities a seat at the table. I believe research is most effective when it is highly collaborative and designed to inform both strategy and experience.
